As noticer (love that term, by the way) your story made me notice that male noticers are generally condemned as obsessive, arrogant, perfectionists. I’ve developed an auto response whenever anyone reacts to my suggestions for improvement with, “I’m not stupid!”:: “Everybody’s stupid…some are just better trained than others. Feel free to train me to do whatever it is you think I have the capacity to improve, I would be honored!”
