Good on you, Mike! Though Nichiren Buddhism has the power to accept anyone’s unique approach to it and to use their own desires (even material desires) to reveal enlightenment, I believe grasping the prime point of absolute happiness, as you have, is the key to establishing a lifelong practice full of profound benefit.

I have a poster on my wall which I made early in my practice which outlines points made in a Toda lecture entitled “The Eleven Main Benefits of Buddhist Practice”. I’m posting an image here, but I need to find the time to type it out and post it as a story here on Medium (which would be my first — I’ve only been a responder so far).
